ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2000 with BE (ECE) with an intake of 60 students. The intake was increased to 90 students from the year 2005 and further to 120 from the year 2007. Department of ECE also conducts a PG programme, M.E (VLSI Design) from year 2011-12 with an intake of 18 students.
The department has good infrastructure and equipped with full-fledged laboratories such as Communication Engineering lab, Microprocessor & Microcontroller Lab, Electronics & Devices Lab, Optical &Microwave Lab, Electronic System Design lab, Networks & Simulation Lab and Digital Signal Processing and VLSI lab.
The department has faculty members having vast experience in their field. The faculty has succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students, with timely up gradations in the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. Many of the Alumni are well-placed in reputed organizations like INFOSYS, SATYAM, WIPRO, ADP-Wilco & Polaris etc. Others are pursuing M.Tech, MBA and MS courses in India & abroad.
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been consistently working towards the goal to produce highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower through flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries.
